Dismissing her concerns before reading the note? Poor Faye and her unaddressed fears. I’m sure everything will be alright anyhow!
Hello everyone! I hope your week is going well. I will be continuing work on the website and server through the coming week; I do apologize for any glitches this may cause.
For the moment, please enjoy a chibi sketch! A sneak peek at things to come, perhaps.

Nice to see the inn keeper “cares” about his business. XD
For sure! The way I see it, if he is honest upfront – then he doesn’t need to refund someone after they find a rat in their pillow!
I think Faye being mute is the my favorite challenge with this comic. When we originally wrote the script for chapter one she had a narrative; as if she was retelling the story. However after a bit of thought we decided to scrap it; and push ourselves to portray her emotions without any text to guide the readers. So it’s really great to hear you think we are doing well so far!
I’m thinking it’ll be a note where Faye asks for them to share a room. She’s probably more concerned with having Accel in the room to deal with any murderers than with the awkwardness of a man and a woman sharing a bed. And hey, maybe this way she won’t have a nightmare.
Oh, and the Chibi Faye sketch may be the cutest thing I have ever seen. Kudos.
I suppose we shall see! Though nightmares are rather fun – no? Especially when they bring premonitions of the future.
Murderers… not so much, though.
I didn’t say I didn’t want a dream sequence. I loved the artistry and cinematic nature of Faye’s “End of the World” dream sequence. I just remember that the character Gabriel Knight from the games and novels a decade back would have nightmares every night unless he was sharing the bed with a woman. Tactile comfort or something. I was thinking the same could apply here as well.
And I’m still curious about the importance of the music box as the world was crumbling, as I should be.
And another thing, if you made smaller, full color renditions of those “The world ends with…” pictures and made a series of bookmarks out of them, I would totally buy each of them. I would most likely put them into my Asian Cycle books by James Clavell.
Put the words Faye is dreaming up on the back, the devastation on the front, and mail each one out in an envelope that only costs normal postage. Cheap, artistic, useful, low S&H, and potential exposure as people sit in coffee houses and stuff.
Think about it.
What the note says: “Hello? I’m still wounded here and it hurts…like a lot.”
Poor Faye. xD
It is quite the boo-boo! I’m sure it will be patched up soon enough though… Like he said – he owes her that much! XD
Aw poor Faye, I think the blood loss is getting to her now
Perhaps it got to her long ago – though the way I see it, there is always more blood to be lost. Not to say she is going to loose more blood… *shifty eyes*
D’awww chibi Faye is soo cute.I’m enjoying the comic so sar, keep up the good work.
Thank you! I’m happy to hear you are enjoying the comic so far – and hope you will enjoy the updates to come!
oooh, chibi Faye’s so cute. She’s having the suckiest week of her life.
It would appear that way; but her week isn’t over yet! Good things could still arise. Right…. Right?
aah, optimism. I remember when I was just that guy that says, “Things couldn’t possibly get worse.” Next thing you know the boat’s surrounded by sharks.
The expression on Fayes face in panel 2 is perfect.
Her face in the last panel says it all.
She is REALLY worried.
Your use of Faye as comic relief and drama is what snagged me. Not to mention the bumbling hero, i almost feel sorry for Faye being stuck with him. Keep up the good writing and plot development. How often does this update? i couldn’t find that posted.
Every Wednesday, and every other Saturday!
huuuuh. ;_; I think your email is broke.
It issss… I have sent you a DM on Twitter with a temporary e-mail. XD
