Sweet! The comic is up! Hi Savvy, no worries about the delay.

+50 XP for Accel for a successful negotiation attempt. So, does that count as an Intimidate check or Bluff check. I suspect we’ll see next week.

Hrm… and so Jacqui continues to tremble–I noticed this on pages 26-27 as well. I have to wonder if it’s like Trevor suggested last week, and she’s nervous about facing Faye’s fire magic, or if it’s because she’s being mind-controlled by Felix. The fact that she hasn’t talked and has had pretty much the same facial expression all along suggests the latter to me. I notice that the tremble-lines around Jacqui as she faces off with Faye look almost identical to those around Lenna as Felix Force-chokes her. Either this is an artistic clue that the same type of magic is involved or I’ve been reading too much Sluggy Freelance.

    I’ve been reading Sluggy Freelance for a few years now, and I guess I’m used to Pete Abram’s tendency to drop subtle artistic clues all over the place in his comics.

Further proof that one Lord Eolande is as badass as Cassuis Bright: mere mention of both of them incensed triggers a GTFO reaction from villains. As to Accel’s speech bluff or true it did the job.

      Ah! The Kolyarut left towards the start of this chapter. As Faye’s father explained, it was there to summon her – and not to guide.

Accel, has +20 in intimidation, because if he’s bluffing, he did a good job of it.

  My thought was that whether it’s an intimidate check or a bluff check will depend on Lord E’s current condition. If Lord E is in fighting shape, this was an intimidate check. If he is hurt too badly to fight–or worse yet, dead–then it was a bluff.

    And then you have to count in Felix’s insight checks against him, which he apparently critically failed. Seriously his face in panel 4 is just like, “Shit there goes my day.”

AS to the blog, perhaps it’s the fact that Gregory Eolande can talk to a Kolyarut and fearlessly escort it around? As to the conversation, I don’t think Felix is going to enjoy the consequences of touching Jacqueline.
